An examination of our geographic placement of service locations shows that customer proximity is our first consideration.  Travel costs is one of the highest costs involved in mobile repair service, and we help our customers control this by locating our offices within economic driving distances of our customers.  As a result, 87% of our service customers are within 50 miles of a Whaley Foodservice Repairs service center.

More than 150 factory trained technicians to provide prompt, professional service.

Our philosophy is that it is easier to retain good talent than retrain their replacements.  Due to our long term commitment to this principle, we have been very successful in attracting and retaining the very best technical talent in our service areas.  The average industry tenure of our technicians is 15 years.  Due to this uniform superiority of experience, our customers can expect more from a Whaley Foodservice Repairs technician.

Collectively our technicians have earned more than 100 certifications in Electric, Gas, Steam and Refrigeration!

A fundamental part of our technician training is  the CFESA certification program. Under this program, technicians study industry specific materials designed to increase their proficiency in various disciplines.  To prove their competence they must then successfully pass tests specific to each discipline.  The certification process is designed to provide certainty on competence in the following disciplines: Electrical, Gas, Steam and Refrigeration.

We also provide warranty service for more than 150 of the industries leading manufacturers! 

Virtually all new cooking and food preparation equipment manufacturers depend on Whaley Foodservice Repairs to provide warranty service on their new equipment.  To prepare our technicians for this role, the factories provide the best of factory training, documentation and other support.  This assures the equipment manufacturers of competent handling of warranty repairs.  As a direct result of this intensive support, our customers can expect that their equipment will be maintained competently and in compliance with original factory specifications.

Twenty-four hour weekend and emergency service!

A service company must be prepared to be available when needed by its customers.  Whaley Foodservice Repairs has established a long term tradition in this important aspect of our business.  Our on-call procedures incorporate multiple layers of fail-safe measures to ensure that your emergency is properly handled.

In-shop service provided at each service location for your portable equipment!

Our service centers are not mini-warehouses or other shell facilities for handling mail and shipping.  Instead, we do business the old-fashioned way, with real people staffing real buildings.  Our facilities all have test benches that enable us full electrical and gas testing capability.  When our customer retrieves equipment left for repair, he/she can be assured that their equipment has been properly tested under live conditions.

Preventive maintenance and customized service contracts to fit all of your needs!

Whaley Foodservice Repairs makes available to its customers whatever service agreements the customer deems appropriate.  While we offer established contract documents that accommodate all historically proven needs, we do not force customers into one-size-fits-all contract offerings.  Instead, we customize our agreements to fit the customer's requirements.

Our commitment to service is backed up by a tremendous investment in inventory to support our customers.  Not only does our inventory serve the needs of our 80+ technicians, but those of our wholesale parts customers as well.  This inventory resource is managed by state-of-the-art computer system that counts every individual transaction to constantly readjust stocking levels.  The result of this inventory investment and the sophistication of its management is the assurance that we will have the parts needed by our customer group.

Installation and start up service available!

Whaley Foodservice Repairs offers a kaleidoscope of options to our service customers' wide ranging needs.  Many traditions are breaking down in our fast changing industry, sometimes leaving customers with no resource to turn to for installation and related new equipment check-out functions.  To meet our customers' needs, we work hard to accommodate unusual requests in any conceivable way.  Our Facilities typically have dock-height freight entrances to facilitate receipt of equipment, and all locations inventory specialty equipment that enables us to overcome logistical problems involved in relocating and installing customer equipment.  In the event that we cannot meet a customer's need with our resources, we will gladly advise customers as to the availability of other providers who can.

CFESA (Commercial Food Equipment Service Association) is an association of like-minded North American service companies committed to professionalism within our ranks.  Our active participation in this association provides us with not only quality technician resources, but many other resources as well.  Membership in CFESA opens our focus to a better view of industry trends through a broader range of contact with key industry players such as equipment manufacturing and sales executives.  

NSC (National Service Cooperative)  is an association of select CFESA companies that have chosen to align themselves together to accomplish national level goals.  A typical example of the benefit derived from this membership is participation in service provided to national account customers such as chain restaurants.  By sharing this common purpose with other service providers, the overall group makes themselves available to additional service customers while sharing improved methods that strengthen each member.
